Construction of a ¾ bath

Our current project consists of a new construction (3/4 bath) into a previously formed addition behind a garage. The small bath will consist of a shower enclosure with curtain, toilet, sink, cabinet and simple amenities such as; a mirrored medicine cabinet to help assure our brilliance and yes, let's not forget an exhaust fan. Our objective is simple, build a simple bath that fulfills our most basic needs, compact, but comfortable. We will start with the basics… Plumbing, electrical and framing, then we can move to the fun stuff like; picking out the flooring and making sure all is sealed, primed and painted.
We will also be using a sump-pump for the waste and connecting a 4 hp pump to insure we have no issue pumping out the waste to the main sewer line.
We also moved the laundry equipment to the garage from inside the living area.
From start to finish, 3 day project… 10 hr. days.
Looking in from the garage. Looking at the shower. Lets get it done... Installation complete We are nearing completion. This sump pump unit was already in place. We replaced the pump and inspected outgoing plumbing to make certain that it would work for our application. Here, we are running a 2 1/2" sewer line from the fixtures to the basin. This is a small bath that will have a shower enclosure, toilet, 18" cabinet and sink, medicine cabinet with mirror and an exhaust. Now that we have completed the platform, the plumbing is now brought in This is a perfect application to use PEX tubing. Fast and Efficient. An hour later, the connections are ALL in place. Let there be water. Now you're probably wondering what PEX piping is. Well, it is cross-linked polyethylene pipe. After going through several processes, the material becomes durable for extreme temperatures (hot or cold), creep deformation which happens from long-term exposure to stress, and chemical attack from acids, alkalies and the like. All of this makes PEX an excellent piping substance for hot and cold water systems, especially since PEX is flexible and well adapted for temperatures below freezing all the wa Our new laundry connection is in place.
