A few months back, we received an email from Elizabeth Thompson with Caring.com. She was reaching out to see if their post could be helpful to our followers. Immediately after I read a few words, I knew that not only would this be an excellent resource for our followers, but also it brought back memories of how my mom's fall affected my immediate family.
In 2013, my mom fell forward while crossing a floor transition from the kitchen to the family room. Her mouth hit directly onto a center table while my sister-in-law watched the entire incident transpire in seconds. As I write this, I can not imagine my mom's pain and trauma and my sister-in-law having to witness such a horrific and traumatic experience. However, my mom returned home a few weeks later to hospice care, and shortly before her 90th birthday, she passed.
